In 1700s Scotland, Aesop's Fables were beautifully illustrated in leather-bound editions—timeless wisdom wrapped in exquisite engraving. Centuries later, we asked: what if those ancient tales could speak to a modern audience?
ReelTales is our answer. We use AI to transform classic literature into stunning vertical microdramas. Each story becomes a cinematic experience: original text → screenplay → AI-generated visuals → narration → music → 90-second masterpiece. The 1700s meets 2026.
This is our hackathon entry: proving that generative AI can be a creative tool, not a replacement. Every fable gets a second life, and every story becomes shareable art.

ReelTales combines classical storytelling with cutting-edge AI. Here's how we transform text into cinematic microdramas.
Submit any classic story (we start with Aesop's Fables). Claude AI analyzes the narrative, identifies key scenes, and structures the dramatic arc for short-form video.
Claude generates 10 carefully crafted Runway prompts (one per 10-second scene), plus a Suno music style prompt and 10 caption/narration segments.
Runway AI transforms each prompt into a stunning 10-second video. We chain them together, using the final frame of each video as the seed image for the next—creating narrative continuity.
Suno generates original music matching the story's mood. Voxtral creates the narration (we use a playful French-accented English voice for authenticity).
FFmpeg orchestrates the finale: concatenating videos, layering music + narration, adding SRT subtitles, and compositing intro/outro title cards. The result: one polished 90-second masterpiece.
Videos publish to YouTube with proper AI-disclosure metadata. Shopify integration allows customers to order custom microdramas. Analytics track engagement and support post-hackathon growth.
